I inherited this stove when I recently moved home. It's a nice stove and produces plenty of heat and has a homely traditional look. Instructions seem hard to come by so here are my tips - When Starting open the primary air ports on the doors by turning them anti clockwise and open the secondary air ports by sliding the small switch on the top of the right hand door to the right. Once the fire is well established reduce the air flow to make the fuel last longer and reduce the heat as over-firing can damage the stove. I had the flu cleaned and was informed that the baffle plate was missing - The staff at glowing embers were great and located a replacement for me (this is classed as a consumable item). When it arrived I tried to fit it (It rests on the centre of the rear fire brick and should rest on the first lip above the door) ,however, the dimensions were wrong (I don' know if this was down to the baffle or the old fire brick at the back being slightly too high). In my efforts I managed to break the old fire bricks. Again another call to the folks at GE and the quickly delivered a replacement set of vermiculite bricks. The problem with the baffle persisted, however, this time I was able to cut approximately 1.5 cm 1/2" off the height of the centre brick and the baffle slotted into place perfectly. Thanks to glowing-embers for all of their assistance.
