As part of the application process you will be asked to verify your identity by allowing Hitachi to authorise a 50p payment on a credit or debit card that is registered to you. This amount will not be charged, but is authorised only and used to verify your identity.

We cannot guarantee that your application will be accepted and your credit file will need to be searched for the application to proceed. You must be over 18, have lived in the UK for 3 years or more and able to make regular payments by Direct Debit.

What is the process?
Once you have selected the Hitachi Interest Free Finance option at checkout, you will be directed to Hitachi's secure site to complete a very short application process. You will get an instant answer regarding your application and be able to electronically sign the application to complete it. The final stage, once you have signed the agreement, is that a member of our team will give you a call to take the payment of the 10% deposit which needs to be paid in advance. Once this is paid, we will send you your goods - as simple as that.

What happens is my application is refused?
There are a number of reasons that an application might be turned down, including mis-typing and mis-entering details on the application form. You are able to appeal the decision and get more information and advice by contacting Hitachi.

How long will it take to apply?
It usually only takes a matter of minutes to complete the form and in most cases a decision is instant and you can electronically sign the agreement.
