Installation and User Instructions (Conventional Flue)

Terms and Conditions

The following terms and conditions must be satified in order for your stove to be covered by the LIFETIME guarantee:

Your stove must have been purchased from an officially approved Arada dealer.

You must be the original purchaser of the stove in order to make a claim. This guarantee is not valid in relation to any claims made by someone who did not originally purchase the stove from Arada or an approved Arada dealer.

Any claim under this guarantee must be made through the approved Arada dealer where the stove was purchased and accompanied by proof of purchase (e.g. a valid receipt). Stoves not purchased from an approved Arada dealer will not be covered by this guarantee.

Your stove must be installed in the UK or Republic of Ireland for this guarantee to be valid. Stoves installed outside of these areas will not be covered by this guarantee.

Your stove must have been installed by a suitably qualified person and in accordance with the manufacturer’s installation instructions. Stoves not installed by a suitably qualified person or not installed in accordance with the manufacturer’s installation instructions will not be covered by this guarantee.

Any claims under this guarantee shall not be valid where the installation of the stove does not conform to all required building regulations and other legislation in force at the time of purchase and where flue draw readings have not been made to confirm a suitability of the flue. The manufacturer’s decision as to whether this condition has been satisfied shall be final.

The guarantee does not cover damage caused to the stove through careless handling or misuse or neglect of the appliance (misuse and neglect being not following the manufacturer’s instructions and user guides in relation to the stoves, including the use of non-recommended fuels).

The following consumable service items are not covered by this guarantee:

Door glass

Seals

Associate parts

The guarantee does not cover damage caused by storing or using the stove in a damp environment, defects or faults caused by local conditions such as draught problems and chimney defects or corrosion caused by condensation, damp or water ingress into the flue, chimney or the surrounding of the stove.

The guarantee is only valid if the stove is serviced and checked annually by a suitably qualified heating engineer, with documentation to be retained and produced in the event of a claim being made.

The guarantee is only valid where any spare parts used are supplied by Arada or an approved Arada dealer. The use of spares other than those supplied by Arada Limited shall invalidate the guarantee. Parts can be sourced through an approved dealer or directly from Arada online at www.aradastovesandspares.com.

The guarantee is not valid where any repairs or modifications have been made to the stove which have been carried out by anyone other than Arada or its authorised representatives or approved dealers.

All guarantee periods commence on the date of purchase and are non-transferable and solely for the benefit of the original purchaser of the stove.

As part of the Arada brand, Arada have been producing stoves for over 30 years with the roots of Arada being over 50 years old. This family run business started in Lyme Regis in Dorset called 'Lyme Regis Engineering', renamed to 'Villager Stoves' in 1979, moving to Axminster in Devon. Today the individual brands of Aarrow, Stratford and Villager are all combined under the Contemporary Living, Timeless Classics and Hardworking Heating collections within the Arada brand.

These stoves are steeped in a history epitomising the successful evolution and development of reliable and well made British stoves.

Stove Glass Accidental Damage Cover

Replacing damaged stove glass is something most stove owners will be familiar with, be it by closing the door on a protruding log, over-tightening the glass retaining clips or the natural heat expansion of the door, chances are you have had to purchase replacement glass for your wood burning stove at least once.

By adding Glowing Embers' Accidental Damage Cover, you have peace of mind that the potentially costly process of cutting and shipping a replacement glass is covered for when those accidental breakages occur.

Terms & Conditions

Glass Protection covers you for cracked or smashed stove glass for the period of time that you select. We cover you for accidental breakage for any reason for the length of time you selected but doesn't cover for any consequential loss or installation costs. Installation is usually an easy process, and our team can talk you through it. To claim against this protection, simply send us an email prior to the expiration date (either 1 or two years from the purchase date, depending upon which option you pick) with a photo clearly showing your stove with the broken glass. We may require measurements or a template from you to cut the replacement glass accurately and your provision of this when required is conditional on our fulfilment of this protection. The protection covers you for one replacement only within the set period, additional breakages (outside of breakage on delivery which will be covered free of charge) will fall outside of this protection. This only covers flat glass cut by Glowing Embers and does not cover curved or printed glass.

Stove Fitting Kit

Essential components for any stove installation into an existing chimney, this Fitting Kit for stoves with a 5" (125mm) diameter outlet collar includes an 800mm x 400mm Register Plate (Chimney Closure Plate), 5" Reducing Plate and a 1000mm length of leading brand Vitreous Enamelled Stove Pipe in 5" internal diameter.
