OER are an award winning British manufacturer of wood burning stoves, based in Staffordshire. The OER 5 is a fine example of their work, beautifully finished and well-engineered with a number of options including different handles which are magnetic, so can be interchanged and high and low add on legs to get a different look for your stove.

This is a hybrid stove, comprising of a steel body, meaning that it will be responsive to the controls and quick to change temperature but also features a cast iron door which will provide continuity of heat, radiating into your room and even out the peaks and troughs in the fires heat output. The design features a large window into the firebox and a superb clean glass system. This stove is Defra approved for use in smoke controlled areas and is designated clean burning.

As is standard, the stove has to sit on a constructional hearth but with the optional low or high legs it can be used on a 100mm hearth. The magnetic handle should always be removed whilst the stove is lit, unless of course you are using it to open or close the door. As a 5kw stove, this can be used in a room without an additional air vent; although many installers do prefer one to be fitted regardless. It has a 125mm outlet and as a Defra approved stove it is within the building regulations to remain in 125mm for the flue system, although it is still recommended that you increase to 150mm.
