The latest editions to the AGA Stoves family are dynamic, exciting newcomers. Blending contemporary and traditional design, the new range of Ellesmere stoves offer clean lines and solid performance. Outstanding fl ame pictures and one simple to use control for both the primary and secondary air make them a pleasure to operate. With three different models, you can find the perfect stove for your home. The Ellesmere range are designed to burn either wood or solid fuel and are all DEFRA Smoke Exempt, so fully approved for use in smoke controlled areas.

This model of stove, as a rough guide, is suitable for a room measuring in the region of 17ft (L) X 17ft (W) X 8ft (H) non-open plan with average insulation properties.

Information on wood fuels
Unlike fossil fuels, such as coal, gas or oil, wood is carbon neutral. This means that burning a log of wood only produces as much carbon dioxide as a log decomposing on the forest floor.

If used in the right circumstances wood can be a highly economical choice, too.

Dry seasoned wood contains up to 90% less moisture than fresh cut wood, which means it produces less steam and saves up to 50% of potential heat.

Also keep in mind that hard wood is a better option than soft wood as it is slower to burn, meaning you will use less.

Wood is a renewable fuel source that is gentler on the environment. It also helps the preservation of fossil fuels such as coal and oil.

Hints and tips

  • For the best drying conditions, store your logs in a dry store allowing plenty of air to flow around them
  • Wood burns best on a bed of ash so make sure your firebox always has some ash in it
  • Pick out the driest logs; they're easy to spot as the bark comes away easily
  • HETAS Approved: Yes
  • Warranty: Labour - 1 Year, Parts - 5 Years

Installation and Operating Instructions

Every new AGA leaving the factory and installed by an AGA approved outlet carries a 5 year guarantee on parts (certain consumable parts are excluded – for full details see below). This also includes all labour charges for the first 12 months.

No charge will be made for replacement parts providing:

An appliance fault is found.

The relevant part of the AGA is still covered by guarantee.

Regular servicing has been carried out in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions by authorised AGA engineers, using approved spare parts. The service booklet will need to be completed accordingly.

There will be no labour charges during the first 12 months of the warranty.

A call out charge may be applicable if the authorised AGA service engineer who calls at your home finds no fault with the AGA.

Other parts of your plumbing system or flue, are either faulty or do not comply with the appropriate installation instructions.

The unit is more than 12 months old.

If it is deemed the product has been misused.

Please note that invoices for call out repair work carried out during the guarantee period by any third party cannot be accepted.

What is not included in the guarantee:

Consumable parts.

Flues (except integral power and balanced flues).

Any labour charges not directly connected with the repair or replacement of a faulty component.

Any consequential loss.

Any part of the domestic hot water system which is not an integral part of the AGA.

Routine preventative service and maintenance.

Any external controls/components not supplied by AGA.

Oil filled Heat indicators are only covered for 12 months.

Regular Servicing

Regular maintenance is an essential part of keeping your AGA cooker running safely and efficiently. Since your AGA can operate continuously it is important to ensure regular servicing is undertaken. Only genuine AGA spare parts are used. Please note that routine servicing in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions is also a condition of the warranty agreement.

Hand crafted and still made in Britain

The story of the AGA cooker is one of award-winning innovation and a proud heritage stretching back to 1922. Today's AGA is made in exactly the same way as it always has been. Quite simply, molten iron is poured into moulds. It's this technique that gives the castings their characteristic surface – each one is unique – and sets the AGA apart from the ubiquitous mass-produced uniformity. While most cookers are spray painted in minutes, the AGA cooker's multiple protective coats of gleaming vitreous enamel take three days to apply. It's this enamelling that helps ensure the working life of an AGA cooker is measured not in years but in decades. Of course, the modern AGA also contains state-of-the-art technology and is subject to rigorous quality controls and adherence to the latest environmental standards. Each part of an AGA cooker – and there are many – is meticulously inspected and colour checked before leaving our factory in Shropshire.

This is British manufacturing as it should be.

Stove Glass Accidental Damage Cover

Replacing damaged stove glass is something most stove owners will be familiar with, be it by closing the door on a protruding log, over-tightening the glass retaining clips or the natural heat expansion of the door, chances are you have had to purchase replacement glass for your wood burning stove at least once.

By adding Glowing Embers' Accidental Damage Cover, you have peace of mind that the potentially costly process of cutting and shipping a replacement glass is covered for when those accidental breakages occur.

Terms & Conditions

Glass Protection covers you for cracked or smashed stove glass for the period of time that you select. We cover you for accidental breakage for any reason for the length of time you selected but doesn't cover for any consequential loss or installation costs. Installation is usually an easy process, and our team can talk you through it. To claim against this protection, simply send us an email prior to the expiration date (either 1 or two years from the purchase date, depending upon which option you pick) with a photo clearly showing your stove with the broken glass. We may require measurements or a template from you to cut the replacement glass accurately and your provision of this when required is conditional on our fulfilment of this protection. The protection covers you for one replacement only within the set period, additional breakages (outside of breakage on delivery which will be covered free of charge) will fall outside of this protection. This only covers flat glass cut by Glowing Embers and does not cover curved or printed glass.
